Southside Monument has serviced the Augusta area since 1957 with a quality memorial for families that have lost a loved one.
It started with the humblest beginnings in a garden shed from its founder, Clois Hill.
Clois, coming back from World War II, and seeking employment in industry and manufacturing, was originally from Elbert county, and started selling and setting up monuments as a side business while he worked at a local manufacturing facility in Augusta, Georgia. He soon retired from the manufacturer and went full-time into selling monuments, his wife, Yvonne Hill, His son, David Hill, his Wife, Patrice Hill, and their Son, Patrick Hill, followed in Clois’ footsteps.
With three generations, of treating our customers as ourselves being courteous, friendly, and sensitive, Southside Monument takes pride to provide the Aiken-Augusta area with another option to purchase a memorial, other than what might be only thought available. We look forward to the future with the mindset of continuously improving our services and products to our customers.
